
Inputmapper and similar software are absolutely not necessary for Dead Cells. The game was made with DS4 support built in, and even shows the correct button graphics in-game when you use it directly without third party software. Programs like Inputmapper add a considerable amount of input lag that you will want to avoid if at all possible, especially in games like Dead Cells where reaction time is everything. I use a DS4 without inputmapper or any other software perfectly fine with Dead Cells. It seems it can't use Xinput without it.Īlso, why wouldn't I use it when it works exactly as expected?
